Sale-a-Bration

I had a lovely group of ladies come along to my Sale.a.bration themed class last night.  We made three cards and a mini brag book using the four sale.a.bration sets, Bliss, Sweet Summer, So Happy for You and Punch Bunch. Each of the colour combos were based on the Stampin' Up! in colour range.

The first is made using the Sweet Summer set. I used Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Whisper White to make a card using the striped DSP from the in colour Designer Paper Stack.  These packs are great value and perfect to cut down for cards or as 12x12 sheets for scrapbooking.

The second card is all Concord Crush, which is by far my favourite in colour!  A small strip of whisper white was randomly stamped using the flower stamp from Sweet Summer, then layered with a strip of DSP.  The stamped 'For You' image is from the Punch Bunch set.  (The Happy Birthday stamp from this set also works well on this card)

The sentiment was also stamped in Concord crush and I added a little bling by dotting the i's with the gorgeous Jewel Rhinestones.

The mini brag book was simply made by folding a strip of the Peach Parfait DSP and adding two small squares of Pear Pizzazz cardstock as a cover.  The front cover is decorated using the 'Welcome Baby' stamp from the Punch Bunch set, which coordinates with the small tag punch.

The final card is made using a Baja Breeze card base which is stamped using the motif from the Bliss set.  Blushing Bride DSP and a splash of Espresso works perfectly with the butterflies and pearls to decorate this card.

The in colour set is great value for money and gives you all 5 ink pads plus 20 sheets of matching cardstock. Add the in colour designer paper stack and a packets of pearls or jewels for £48.95 (inc P+P) and you can choose a FREE sale.a.bration stamp set!! Contact me for more details or if you would like to place an order.

Pay it Forward

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

I saw this on Linz's blog and thought it was such a lovely idea.

I promise something handmade to the FIRST 5 people who leave a comment here. However, to be eligible, you must repost this status, offering something handmade to 5 other people. The rules are that it must be handmade (or homemade) by you and it must be sent to your 5 people some time in 2011. Ready, set, GO!

So as promised I will also share the love and send something I have handmade to the first five people who are kind enough to comment on this post.  You should then do the same and pay forward to another five people during 2011 either through your blogs, facebook or by sharing with your family and friends.

Ornate Flowers Desk Tidy

I made this project before Christmas but never got round to posting it on my blog.  It is a gorgeous little desk tidy made entirely from Stampin’ Up! products.  The holder is made using just two A4 sheets of Pear Pizzazz cardstock which is one the Stampin’ Up! In Colours.

It is decorated using the Greenhouse Gala double sided designer paper which coordinates perfectly with the Ornate Flower and Ornate Blossom stamp sets.  The holder is finished off with Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon and one of the gorgeous Filigree Designer Brads.

I would love to be able to say that this was my own design, but it was very cleverly created by the lovely Becki Ritson.

Just perfect for holding a matching set of cards and decorated envelopes.

Stampin' Up 'Taster Event'

A big thank you to all the fabulous ladies that joined me at St Johns Church on Wednesday evening.  The event was a 'taster' of the monthly classes I will be holding at the hall from 8th December.  Everyone done really well and managed to finished all the Christmas Projects that I had crammed into the session!!

The first project was a gift bag decorated using the Jolly Holiday designer paper.  The baubles are from the Delightful Decorations set and were stamped in Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler to match the patterned paper and finished with a touch of Christmas Bling using the new Basic Rhinestones.

The Christmas card was made using the tree from the Season of Joy set.  The image was stamped in Old Olive, then the Real Red star and Chocolate Chip trunk was added using the Blender Pens and Ink Pad.  This is a great way to add colour if you do not have the marker pens!  The detail in the corners was created using the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool.

The stamps used for the last two projects are also from the Season of Joy set.  The first is a simple tag stamped in Riding Hood Red and finished with a small Rhinestone and some silver Elastic Cord.

The final project was a gorgeous little tree decoration.  A chocolate coin was decorated using the snowflake stamp which was layered onto an Old Olive Circle and a Real Red Scallop Circle.  The decoration was finished with a Basic Pearl and some dots added using a white Gel Pen.

If you would like to come along on Wednesday 8th December please email me.  More details can be found under the class section.

More from Convention

I thought I would share some more pictures and swaps from the Convention I attended at the weekend. As you may know I am lucky enough to be part of Jenny Moors Team.  We are only a small team but what we lacked in numbers we made up for in laughter!!

The only time the laughter stopped was when we got down to some serious crafting during the make and takes!!

As part of our team swaps, we each made a card, tag and 3d item. Now as you can imagine, having Jenny as your upline means that the standard is very high! The picture doesn't do these projects justice, they are amazing!!

Jenny is an amazing team leader and made convention extra special for all of us with her encouragement, praise, support and these fabulous gifts!

Spending time with the team was a real motivation and I can not wait to do it all again next year in Disneyland Paris!

If you would like join us please contact me for more information about joining our team.
