Stampin' Up 'Taster Event'

A big thank you to all the fabulous ladies that joined me at St Johns Church on Wednesday evening.  The event was a 'taster' of the monthly classes I will be holding at the hall from 8th December.  Everyone done really well and managed to finished all the Christmas Projects that I had crammed into the session!!

The first project was a gift bag decorated using the Jolly Holiday designer paper.  The baubles are from the Delightful Decorations set and were stamped in Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler to match the patterned paper and finished with a touch of Christmas Bling using the new Basic Rhinestones.

The Christmas card was made using the tree from the Season of Joy set.  The image was stamped in Old Olive, then the Real Red star and Chocolate Chip trunk was added using the Blender Pens and Ink Pad.  This is a great way to add colour if you do not have the marker pens!  The detail in the corners was created using the Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool.

The stamps used for the last two projects are also from the Season of Joy set.  The first is a simple tag stamped in Riding Hood Red and finished with a small Rhinestone and some silver Elastic Cord.

The final project was a gorgeous little tree decoration.  A chocolate coin was decorated using the snowflake stamp which was layered onto an Old Olive Circle and a Real Red Scallop Circle.  The decoration was finished with a Basic Pearl and some dots added using a white Gel Pen.

If you would like to come along on Wednesday 8th December please email me.  More details can be found under the class section.

More from Convention

I thought I would share some more pictures and swaps from the Convention I attended at the weekend. As you may know I am lucky enough to be part of Jenny Moors Team.  We are only a small team but what we lacked in numbers we made up for in laughter!!

The only time the laughter stopped was when we got down to some serious crafting during the make and takes!!

As part of our team swaps, we each made a card, tag and 3d item. Now as you can imagine, having Jenny as your upline means that the standard is very high! The picture doesn't do these projects justice, they are amazing!!

Jenny is an amazing team leader and made convention extra special for all of us with her encouragement, praise, support and these fabulous gifts!

Spending time with the team was a real motivation and I can not wait to do it all again next year in Disneyland Paris!

If you would like join us please contact me for more information about joining our team.

Convention 2010

Wow what a weekend!! I have so much to tell you I don't really know where to start!  For those of you that don’t know, every year in November Stampin' Up! holds a Convention for all the European demonstrators. This year it was held in the UK at Addington Palace in Croydon.

I was lucky enough to attend and spent three (very tiring!!) days crafting, giggling, eating, swapping, talking and sharing new ideas. I got to meet some great ladies, made some new friends and received some amazing swaps!!

I went with 6 other members of my team, Jenny, Maria, Jill, Val, Emma and Jane. These ladies are so talented!! Over the next few days I will share some of their gorgeous swaps!!

On Thursday night we attended Monica's and Natalie's Pre Convention Party where we got the chance to mingle and chat with some of the other demonstrators. We all received this sparkly goodie bag and completed 2 make and takes using Welcome Christmas & Beware Pirates.

As well as the stunning swaps we also received lots of gifts from Stampin’ Up!  On arrival we received this bag which contained 2 stamp sets, (Just Believe and Party This Way) a catalogue, a pen, a bag charm and a ‘share what we love badge’

We also got the chance to buy some lovely Stampin' Up! goodies!! I treated myself to this fab 'Greenhouse Gala' tote (purely for business reasons of course!) and a Stampin' Up! ruler.

There is so much more to share with you so check back tomorrow for more pictures, details and inspiration!
